The Category Leader, Senior is responsible for the development and execution of global Supplier and Category strategies driving long-term improvements in service, quality, cost, delivery, and innovation, enhancing the competitive and commercial performance of Net Jets and its customer base. The Category Leader, Senior manages a complex portfolio across a number of key suppliers with spend in excess of $20M. The Category Leader, Senior executes the relevant Category strategies across the managed portfolio by leading the sourcing process, negotiating with approved suppliers, culminating in a contract that meets the product or service requirements.

The Category Leader, Senior manages the commercial and contractual relationships within their portfolio ensuring commercial issues are appropriately and expeditiously resolved. The Category Leader, Senior assists in developing a robust process and governance framework to guide the day-to-day global activities of the Global Procurement group on a consistent basis, and support the continuous improvement initiatives to satisfy the business needs in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.

• Develops, maintains, and executes the portfolio of Category and Supplier Strategies. Leads the procurement and sourcing processes while maintaining strict compliance with Net Jets purchasing systems, processes, and policies. Applies tools, techniques, and processes to develop robust strategies, manage the supplier relationship, and identify areas of improvement and/or corrective actions.
• Manages key suppliers to meet business objectives, partnering with these suppliers to build capabilities that meet the expanding needs of the business through effective service, quality, cost, delivery, and innovation performance.
• Provides input towards the continuous improvement of Global Procurement’s capability development including process development, tool enhancement/deployment, and professional excellence programs of work.

Bachelor's in Business Administration or Economics

4-6 years of experience

• Proven track record of managing a purchasing portfolio in a global, multi-functional environment, including complex tax, regulatory and industry-specific requirements.
• Solid knowledge of business and economic issues, cost structures and contracts. Deep understanding of the relevant industry, including cost drivers, market dynamics and the competitive landscape.
• Strong analytical and communication skills that can be utilized to influence and drive the decision‑making process.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously and maintain tight timelines while meeting targeted savings outcomes.
• Strong conflict management, problem‑solving, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Knowledge of program management tools and technique
