Inventory Control Specialist 2 (260001RH)
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking an organized and detail‑oriented Inventory Control Specialist 2 to join our Finance team. This role plays an important part in supporting OOD’s mission to empower Ohioans with disabilities by ensuring that our statewide inventory system runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage OOD’s asset inventory across all locations.
- Assign asset numbers, tag incoming equipment, and verify inventory accuracy through physical counts and documentation reviews.
- Enter and maintain data in the asset management system, ensuring compliance with agency standards and timelines.
- Prepare reports and maintain records for state, federal, and internal audits.
- Monitor compliance with regulations, assist during audits, and recommend improvements to inventory procedures.
- Provide administrative support, schedule meetings, draft correspondence, and maintain spreadsheets for specialized equipment and office keys.
- Collaborate with staff across divisions and occasionally assist with fleet management tasks.
- Coordinate the movement and disposal of surplus property, following safety practices, and operate equipment such as handcarts and pallet jacks.
- Travel as required and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- 9 months experience as Inventory Control Specialist 64551.
- OR 18 months’ training or 18 months’ experience in inventory control; AND 3 courses or 9 months’ experience in electronic data processing related to inventory control; AND 1 course or 3 months’ experience in public relations.
- OR equivalent education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.

Starting salary will be Step 1, subject to law or union contract requirements. New hires advance to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost‑of‑living increases and longevity supplements apply according to the table below.
