As an Accounting Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by leveraging established accounting processes to deliver accurate and reliable results. This is a meaningful opportunity to be an integral part of Northstar Restaurant Group’s success.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable from invoice receipt through timely and accurate payment
Reconcile petty cash, bank transactions, and credit card activity (including Amazon Business)
Prepare journal entries, monthly accruals, and support the month-end close
Support weekly financial reporting for restaurant operators
Contribute to accurate, consistent, and trustworthy financial processes across the organization
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or current progress towards completion)
High attention to detail and precision in financial reporting
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; ability to learn industry-specific software
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Optimism, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
Sincere commitment to excellence and doing top quality work
Outstanding professionalism and confidence
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional judgment and discretion
Team player with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality; willingness to pitch in and assist others as needed
Ability to work independently, efficiently and proactively in an evolving organization
Self-directed continuous learner who is able to identify opportunities for improvement and provide solutions
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic work environment
