Accounting Associate

Northstar Restaurant Group + Brassica is looking for an exceptional individual to join our accounting team.

As an Accounting Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization by leveraging established accounting processes to deliver accurate and reliable results. This is a meaningful opportunity to be an integral part of Northstar Restaurant Group’s success.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable from invoice receipt through timely and accurate payment

• Reconcile petty cash, bank transactions, and credit card activity (including Amazon Business)

• Prepare journal entries, monthly accruals, and support the month-end close

• Support weekly financial reporting for restaurant operators

• Contribute to accurate, consistent, and trustworthy financial processes across the organization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or current progress towards completion)

• High attention to detail and precision in financial reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; ability to learn industry-specific software

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills

• Optimism, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude

• Sincere commitment to excellence and doing top quality work

• Outstanding professionalism and confidence

• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional judgment and discretion

• Team player with a "roll up your sleeves" mentality; willingness to pitch in and assist others as needed
