We are looking for an Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Our client seeking a proactive Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements. This is an onsite role in Northwest Columbus with strong visibility to leadership and the opportunity to support a dynamic, growing organization.
Responsibilities- Perform daily and monthly accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end close with timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with AP/AR review, cash postings, and bank reconciliations when needed.
- Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to support costing, inventory accuracy, and project financials.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as assigned.
- Participate in system and process enhancements, especially as the company continues to scale.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience; manufacturing industry exposure strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently onsite.
- Effective communicator who can collaborate across departments.
- Hands-on learning and mentorship, with opportunities to broaden skills across cost, reporting, and operations finance.
