Accounting Manager

Ferretti Search is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in Columbus, Ohio to identify their next Accounting Manager.

Location:

Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

Compensation: $110,000–$145,000 base + bonus

Schedule:

Full-time

• Operational Finance Leadership: Play a critical role in supporting plant operations and executive leadership.
• Cost-Focused Environment: Own cost accounting in a complex manufacturing setting.

• Lead Month-End Close: Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Cost Accounting Ownership (Required): Manage standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and bill of materials accuracy.
• Manufacturing Analysis: Partner with operations on labor, overhead absorption, scrap, and production efficiency metrics.
• Inventory & Controls: Maintain strong controls over inventory, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
• Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Collaborate with FP&A to provide plant-level insights and cost drivers.
• Team Leadership: Supervise accounting staff and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal control standards.
• Process Improvement: Identify system and workflow improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.

• Experienced Accounting Leader: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.

  5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with hands‑on cost accounting expertise.
• Technical Proficiency: ERP experience required; strong Excel skills essential.
• Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Comfortable working with complex cost structures and large data sets.
• Collaborative Partner: Able to work cross-functionally with plant leadership and executive management.
