Senior Accountant

Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support plant and corporate accounting operations. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and general ledger management within a production-driven environment.

• Support and lead components of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and review general ledger activity related to plant operations, freight, logistics, leases, and other operating expenses.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate recording of manufacturing-related transactions.
• Assist with inventory-related analysis and review of operating variances as needed.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Research accounting questions and collaborate with management to resolve issues.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and enhancements within the ERP.
• Complete special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Experience working with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting.
