DLZ Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team at our Columbus, Ohio headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support and own components of the monthly close, including journal entries, general ledger review, and reconciliations
* Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements and executive reporting packages
* Generate monthly financial reports and assist with analysis for management
* Support internal and external audits and assist with tax preparation activities
* Manage bank activity, reconciliations, fixed assets, and depreciation
* Review expense reports, time sheets, and accounts payable coding for accuracy and compliance
* Assist with financial analysis related to acquisitions and special projects
* Serve as backup for selecting accounting functions and support the accounting team as needed
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 4 - 6 years relevant accounting experience
* Experience with audits (financial, overhead rate) and tax compliance (federal, state, and local preferred)
* Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
* Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented approach
