Accounting Supervisor

Our client, a well-established organization in the Columbus area, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join their team. This role will oversee core accounting operations, support process improvements, and supervise junior staff while ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax-related activities
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for multiple business entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Perform and supervise general ledger accounting activities
• Evaluate current accounting practices and procedures; recommend and implement process improvements
• Lead and mentor 1–2 junior accounting staff members
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience with Quick Books
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
