Accounting Manager

Title Accounting Manager Position Summary The Accounting Manager will oversee the company’s day-to-day corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This role is hands-on and well-suited for someone who enjoys multiple aspects of accounting—from managing the general ledger and preparing financial statements to supporting development projects and process improvements. The Accounting Manager will partner closely with the CFO to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Role Responsibilities The Accounting Manager will take ownership of corporate accounting operations and provide support across related business functions.

Responsibilities include:

Manage the corporate general ledgers, including journal entries, account

reconciliations, month-end and year-end close.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related management

reports.

Review and maintain accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed asset records, and intercompany

transactions.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash management processes in coordination with

the CFO.

Review invoices and track costs for projects in the pre-development phase.

Maintain records for corporate aircraft use.

Develop, document, and improve accounting policies and procedures to ensure

consistency and compliance.

Support tax return preparation by completing workpaper schedules and providing

supporting documentation.

Participate in special projects, financial analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Candidate Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s degree with concentration in accounting preferred. Equivalent

work experience would be considered.

Experience:

5+ years of relevant accounting experience; commercial real estate industry

experience preferred

Skills:

Proficiency in general ledger software (Viewpoint Spectrum experience a plus)

Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting principles

Advanced Excel and solid analytical skills

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills

Self-motivated individual who has the ability to work with minimal direction
