The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced auditor to be part of our Long‑Term Care Audits Section, a component of the Bureau of Program Integrity. This role focuses on fraud, waste, and abuse prevention in Managed Care settings. The position is based in Franklin County and may require travel to Managed Care plan and provider sites.

• Act as audit team lead.
• Prepare audit scope, objectives, and audit programs.
• Execute audits of Managed Care Plans and their provider networks by reviewing policies, processes, internal controls, contractual agreements, and federal and state Medicaid regulations.
• Document audit tests, complete audit work papers, identify audit issues, maintain documentation, and prepare and present reports on audit findings with recommendations.
• Perform peer review of work papers of equal or lower‑level staff, prepare review notes, discuss with staff, and verify clarity of review notes.
• Handle confidential records and information.
• Coordinate with bureau data analytics staff and systems.
• Work closely and communicate effectively with ODM staff, team members, and managers.

• Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting, business administration, computer science, or a related field.
• 3 years of auditing or accounting experience, including 18 months of auditing experience in accordance with auditing standards or prescribed management policies and procedures, plus 12 months as audit team lead or auditor in charge.
• OR 5 years of auditing or accounting experience, including 30 months in accordance with auditing standards or prescribed policies, plus 12 months as audit team lead or auditor in charge.
• OR 12 months experience as an External Auditor 2, position 66462.
• OR equivalent minimum class qualifications noted above.
• Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
