We are looking for a Lead Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities- Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting processes, timelines, and internal controls
- Responsible for the review and maintenance of detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts and reconciliation to the general ledger on a monthly basis
- Ensure financial controls in place are operating effectively and makes improvements where needed; recognize if procedures are not followed and takes corrective action
- Train and mentor junior accountants on accounting best practices
- Ad hoc projects as assigned
- Bachelor s in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
