Operations Associate
The Operations Associate is a member of a team responsible for daily monitoring and processing of materials to add value for the customer. The incumbent works with the team to ensure materials are handled appropriately and that customers receive the best value from our services.
Key Responsibilities- Operate industrial equipment including bailers, forklifts, grinders, and other equipment based on location and loads; recycle materials for collection and transportation.
- Process production scrap, sort materials, and bale cardboard and plastic film.
- Load finished products onto trailers and ensure safe loading procedures are followed.
- Ensure proper packaging of food waste and recycling into appropriate containers that comply with transport regulations and disposal/recycling site acceptance parameters.
- Attend all safety trainings, report incidents or near misses, and wear PPE as required to ensure workplace safety and compliance.
- Create and manage all shipping paperwork (Bill‑of‑Lading, Packing List, Trailer Checklist, Waste Manifest, etc.).
- Generate packing lists for each outbound load and document weights for items loaded onto trailers to maintain order organization.
- Communicate challenges or inquiries to the Operations Supervisor as needed.
- Utilize workplace experiences to generate and present ideas for program improvement.
- May be required to operate a 22 ft box truck or a truck with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more.
- Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and perform any other duties needed to help drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by core values.
Demonstrates high performance in attendance, safety, productivity, and customer service; shows knowledge of site material types and program needs; completes necessary training for role; understands and executes basic job functions; plans day; prepares trailers according to DOT requirements and completes necessary paperwork.
Senior AssociateDemonstrates high performance in attendance, safety, productivity,дей customer service; completes forklift certification with ability to complete pre/post inspections; manages scrap floor; identifies improvement opportunities; uses strategic account team when relevant; develops and maintains relationships with site contracts.
Education, Experience & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; 0–2 years of manufacturing experience; 6–12 months of equipment operations experience helpful; valid driver’s license; legal eligibility to work in the US; physical ability to lift 30 lbs frequently, 65 lbs several times a day; stand for 8 hours and work extended hours if needed. Excellent listening, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of equipment operation such as forklift, grinder, and box truck;
knowledge of lockout‑tagout procedures; ability to use Microsoft Office helpful.
