Position Summary

The Swine Protocol & Compliance Trainer is responsible for training and reinforcing company-wide training protocols related to animal welfare, biosecurity, and operational standards. This role will conduct onboarding and continuous training in Pork Quality Assurance (PQA), Transport Quality Assurance (TQA), biosecurity protocols, and other company-specific procedures. The Trainer will also support new hires through follow-ups and hands‑on coaching, ensuring understanding and adherence to welfare standards and operational expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver onboarding and ongoing training on:
    • Pork Quality Assurance (PQA)
    • Transport Quality Assurance (TQA)
    • Biosecurity and site entry procedures
    • Company‑specific swine handling and welfare protocols
  • Conduct on‑site evaluations to ensure training effectiveness and compliance.
  • Work directly with new hires to assess understanding, provide additional training as needed, and support retention.
  • Collaborate with the Veterinarian to maintain and improve welfare standards across all sites.
  • Serve as a point of contact for training‑related questions and materials.
  • Document training attendance, progress, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify trends in compliance gaps and work with management to address them.
  • Assist with internal audits and animal welfare assessments.
Qualifications
  • Experience in swine production or animal agriculture.
  • Strong knowledge of PQA, TQA, and biosecurity practices (certifications preferred or obtainable).
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Bilingual
  • Ability to travel between sites as needed.
  • Passion for animal welfare and training/development.
