As a Head Start Family Advocate, candidates will promote children and family progress across the standards outlined in the Head Start Parent, Family and Community Engagement Framework. They will build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families, provide assistance and support to ensure all state and federal standards are met, and maintain relationships with community entities. Candidates must keep the mission and core values at the forefront when working with families and community partners, and demonstrate effective communication and a non‑judgmental attitude when working with staff, families and children.

QualificationsQualified individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Nebraska driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a working phone. Candidates must obtain CPR and First Aid training within 90 days of hire and maintain current certification throughout employment. Prior experience working with preschool‑aged children is preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Pay for this position starts at $15.88 or more, depending on qualifications. Position runs from August 1st through mid‑May each year.
