We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Tax Associate to join our Accounting and Finance team. This position will play a pivotal role in our organization, providing high‑level tax services to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in S Corp, Federal & State Tax, 1120S, EA, Income Tax, and Corporate Tax Returns. Responsibilities- Prepare and review complex corporate tax returns, specifically 1120S, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
- Provide tax planning and consulting to our clients, advising on strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Research and analyze changes in tax legislation, interpreting the impact on our clients and developing appropriate responses.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile tax data, validate tax return information, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with IRS audit inquiries, providing necessary documentation and articulating our tax positions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, developments, and changes in tax law.
- Mentor and guide junior tax associates, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their tax needs are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax preparation and planning, with a focus on S Corporations.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in preparing 1120S and other corporate tax returns.
- Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations and apply them to client scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem‑solving skills.
