STS Technical Services is hiring a Helicopter Pilot (SPIFR / NVG) to support air medical operations based in Columbus, Mississippi. This role places pilots on the front lines of emergency medical response, flying critical care missions in complex operating environments where professionalism, precision, and safety are non‑negotiable.
This position is designed for highly skilled pilots who are comfortable operating under SPIFR and NVG conditions and who value mission‑driven flying within a disciplined, safety‑first culture. Off‑duty housing is provided.
Position OverviewThe Helicopter Pilot (SPIFR / NVG) supports air medical transport missions under CAMTS guidelines. Pilots conduct day and night missions, including IFR operations, and are responsible for the safe, compliant execution of all assigned flights while adhering strictly to company procedures and safety management systems.

- Aircraft type: EC135
- SPIFR and NVG operations
- Instrument rating required
- Twenty‑four hour operations with rotating day and night shifts
- Strong emphasis on safety management and operational excellence
- Off‑duty housing provided
- Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual
- Safely conduct day and night air medical missions, including IFR operations
- Assist with patient and medical equipment loading and unloading as required
- Support Safety Management System initiatives and company‑wide safety campaigns
- Participate in required community outreach programs
- Deliver professional, efficient, and courteous service to internal and external customers
- Sign‑on bonus up to $100,000

- First Class Medical Certificate
- Meet CAMTS minimum flight time requirements:
- 1,500 helicopter hours
- 1,000 hours PIC helicopter
- 500 turbine helicopter hours
- 100 hours unaided night operations or
- 50 hours unaided night and 100 hours NVG
- 75 hours instrument time, actual and or hood
- NVG qualified or eligible
- Body weight not to exceed 235 pounds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated internal and external customer service skills
- Ability to pass a pre‑placement physical and functional capacity exam, including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Drug screening and background check
- Schedule & location requirements
- Seven days on and seven days off rotation
- Schedule rotation may be required
- Off‑duty housing provided while on rotation
- Aircraft transition training may require a one‑year service commitment
- Relocation assistance may be available
- Relocation support may require a two‑year service commitment
- External recruiting may occur concurrently with internal postings
