Sign-On Bonus:
Newly hired J3 Electrical Maintenance Technicians are eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $8,000 .
Relocation Assistance:
Newly hired J3 Electrical Maintenance Technicians who must relocate because their permanent address is at least 100 miles from CMF will be eligible for Relocation Assistance of up to $10,000 .

Our E&I maintenance technicians generally work on shift with the production teams……rotating 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) on a 28 day rotation swinging from nights to days weekly – 36 hours one week, 48 the next week (8 hours built in OT every check). A total of 7 DAY shifts, 7 NIGHT shifts, and 14 OFF shifts every 28 days.
Ideally, they will rotate to a 10-hour straight day schedule (Monday-Thursday) every 12 weeks for 6 weeks on days, then return to shift.
About The Role:
This position supports Global Cellulose Fibers’
Columbus Modified Fiber (CMF) facility, located in Columbus, Mississippi
. CMF is a vital part of GCF’s Business. We are a converting operation that produces specialty fibers used in the production of diapers, filtration products, and other absorbent personal care products.
This is a J3 level Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technician position responsible for completing scheduled and routine maintenance work along with performing many other duties, both as part of a team and independently. Duties include, but are not restricted to, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining 575V thru 2300V motor controls, 13.8kV electrical systems, relay logic, PLC systems, DCS and a variety of field instruments, analytical equipment, and final control elements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair AC and DC drive systems as well as stand-a-lone process drives of various manufactures
- Troubleshoot, configure, maintain DCS systems such as Delta V and Honeywell.
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain 575V through 2300V motors including induction, synchronous, wound rotor, permanent magnet and DC
- Installation, calibration, troubleshooting various manufactures of analog and SMART instruments and analytical equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain motor controls including electronic motor protection relays, sizing overloads, and starter maintenance of various manufactures.
- Shop and field repair of final control elements such as pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid operated valves, calibration of pneumatic and SMART valve positioners.
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain various electrical components such as mechanical limit, proximity, photo electric, speed and reflective switches.
- Install, program, troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems including associated communication such as DH+, , Ethernet.
- Read, interpret and redline wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, P&’s and loop sheets
- Understand and follow 70E regulations involving Arc Flash and Shock hazards.
- Communicate with operators while troubleshooting electrical and instrument controls
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on routine and extended annual outages
- Maintain shops, load centers, DCS work areas to a 5S standard
- Personally exhibit safety as a core value and effectively communicate a shared vision for safety
