Your role and responsibilities:

This position will provide Maintenance Engineering support for the plant’s manufacturing operations. Typical duties include equipment reliability improvements, maintenance planning, troubleshooting support, CAPEX project execution, preventive/predictive maintenance development, and documentation.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Lead maintenance engineering and capital projects by planning and executing equipment upgrades, reliability improvements, layout/maintainability enhancements, and CAPR justifications while ensuring projects stay within approved budgets.
  • Manage full lifecycle of capital equipment including specification development, vendor selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, programming, documentation, training, and long‑term production support.
  • Drive equipment reliability and performance through root‑cause analysis of failures, development of corrective actions, and optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate and support plant operations by assisting maintenance technicians with complex troubleshooting, ensuring equipment meets engineering/safety standards, maintaining accurate documentation, and partnering with production, reliability, and engineering teams to maximize uptime.
Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering preferred) with minimum 2 years experience in engineering, automation, or maintenance related discipline.
  • Strong technical foundation in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with hands‑on experience troubleshooting industrial and automated equipment.
  • Skilled in data‑driven problem solving, including analyzing equipment performance, applying lean/continuous improvement methods, and developing effective corrective actions.
  • Preferred experience with PLCs, computer controlled systems, CAD software, PMP and/or Lean Certifications.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills, with a creative, resourceful approach to achieving operational goals.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
