Quality Engineer

A well-established and growing manufacturing facility is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the development and continuous improvement of a robust quality management system. This role plays a critical part in driving process improvements, ensuring compliance, and supporting operational quality metrics across the organization.

This position will lead efforts in quality documentation (PPAPs, FAIs, capability studies), KPI development, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, conducting audits, and managing calibration programs. Familiarity with ERP/QMS systems, SPC, and MSA is highly preferred, along with experience working with materials such as steel, stainless steel, or aluminum.

8D is a must. Relocation is offered as this role is in Columbus, MS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
• 4-5+ years of experience in quality and/or continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting
• Hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, capability studies, and structured problem-solving (8D, etc.)
• Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015; auditing certifications or lead auditor training is preferred
• ERP and QMS software experience is important
• Strong background in SPC, MSA, and analyzing production metrics
