The Role
- Take ownership of and support the 24/7 operation of Process Control equipment including computers, servers, and switches.
- Own and administrate the OT networks and domains.
- Maintain a backup strategy of all nodes on the network.
- Understand cybersecurity with any potential risks and mitigate them using the necessary tools.
- Support all new installations of process control hardware.
- Maintain security system assets including server / client hardware and software version updates, camera hardware and software version updates, access control hardware and software version updates.
- Support all new installations of clients, cameras, and access control.
- Be a role model and champion for an injury-free workplace and promote safety and excellence in all areas of influence.
- Ability and willingness to provide mentoring support to other engineers and technicians.
- Develop and maintain good record keeping systems in areas of responsibility.
- Willingness to work weekend/night duty and after hours to provide technical and leadership assistance, including startups.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Windows server administration from Windows Server 2003 to modern MS OS.
- OT network switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Cybersecurity and backup tools and trends.
- System experience with Genetec, Axis, and Mercury.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work within a diverse organization & non-union environment.
- Ability to collaborate with peers and across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and listening), organizational and planning skills, facilitation skills, computer skills, and being able to achieve results through others.
- Ability to excel with minimal supervision in a team environment.
