Work model

Your role and responsibilities
  • Provide support to manufacturing operations of the plant.
  • Process design, tooling design, and capital project design and implementation.
  • Work instruction documentation, production and maintenance support.
  • Plan and execute engineering projects involving equipment, tooling, and process improvements, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
  • Manage capital projects from justification (CAPR) through procurement, installation, programming, training, documentation, and production support within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate project resources and design reviews, overseeing technical studies, specifications, layouts, and product testing for efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to determine equipment specifications, secure quotes, manage tooling supplies, and optimize manufacturing capabilities and processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (required), with a minimum of 2 years experience (preferred).
  • Ability to gather and analyze information to develop solutions and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Preferred experience:

    5+ years in manufacturing process review/development, strong understanding of lean process improvements, experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC and computer controls, AutoCAD and/or Solid Works modeling software, Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certifications.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
