Full Time Registered NurseLocation:
Cummins Engine Health Center, Columbus, IN.
- Tuesdays 8:00 am – 7:00 pm;
Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays 7:00 am – 6:00 pm - 6‑8 week rotation – Saturdays 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
- Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
- Administer medications and provide emergency care within legal scope of practice
- Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures
- Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records
- Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow‑up care
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Certificate from an accredited nursing school or associate degree (A.S.) is required; bachelor’s degree (BSN) from a four‑year college or university is preferred
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required
- Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services - Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN‑S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
- At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic
