Position Summary / Resumen de posición:
To accurately pull material from storage per pick list or requisition and move the inventory both systemically and physically to its point of use. To return excess and/or unused material to appropriate stores location.
- Physically moves inventory where needed.
- Counts and labels inventory.
- Maintains accurate computer inventory records.
- Performs kitting, banding, shrink wrapping and other duties as directed.
- Maintains a clean work environment.
- Participates in annual physical inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to identify and inspect parts.
- Frequently positions parts and operates machinery.
- Frequent need for the accurate exchange of information in-person, by phone and by computer.
- Constantly needs to be able to bend, twist, squat and reach overhead.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for over 50% of day.
- Frequently moves safely about the building to conduct business.
- Sometimes works in non-air-conditioned space.
- Frequently positions, lifts and transports 45 lb. of equipment.
- Constantly must wear common protective or safety equipment – ANSI Z87.1 2003 standard safety glasses are required in plant.
- High School Diploma preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control. Should be able to handle tasks in a priority manner, have analytical skills, good attention to detail, maintain accurate records, and be self-motivated.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a parts inventory department
- Basic Outlook, Excel, and ERP experience
- Manufacturing and warehouse facility
- Shipping and receiving dock areas
- Office/workstation located near production and warehouse floor
- Indoor environment with occasional exposure to varying temperatures
- Moderate to high noise levels typical of a production setting
- Interaction with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
- Standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday
- Occasional lifting, carrying, and moving of shipping materials and packages
- Standard business hours with occasional overtime based on shipping needs
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when on the production floor
- Operation of material-handling equipment, including forklifts and order pickers; training and certification provided in-house
