PURPOSE OF JOB

To interpret, quote and develop wire harness production documentation from detailed drawings and customer input by applying established harness design standards and practices.

• Review customer drawings for technical issues and provide solutions
• Interpret and establish all costs associated with customer’s harness design
• Source and investigate pricing and availability of new materials
• Create quotes for new and existing customers that satisfy the customer’s needs
• Create drawings, From-To, using internal software based on customer designs
• Create materials and templates in Job Boss as needed
• Maintain a rapport with the customer through the design process and make adjustments as needed
• Communicate requirements to the production team using official Handoff template to confirm and resolve issues with final harness designs
• Manage Part Approval process
• Maintain accurate paperwork and job files electronically and physically to facilitate smooth transition of information
• Adhere to ISO requirements related to the job area

Perform other duties reasonably related to the position.

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).

• Ability to troubleshoot
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Broad/strong knowledge of product line and pricing
• Strong working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office
• Customer service minded
• Read and understand written sentences in work related documents
• Speak and write effectively to convey information
• Able to manage one’s own workload for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality
• Attendance percentage of at least 96%
• Cooperate with coworkers and management
• Able to work independently with minimal direction

• 20/20 vision with correction
• Must be able to differentiate between red and green colors
