DescriptionIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Product Software: This applied technology position will be involved in creating and managing the software that controls the operation of many Cummins’ products in a variety of end use applications.
Software Tools: This applied technology position will be involved in the identification and understanding of stakeholder requirements, specifications and the design, implementation, testing and/or release of software that interact with Cummins’ products in a variety of customer applications.
Hardware: This applied technology position creates and integrates electrical and electronic hardware that is essential to Cummins products. People in these positions will typically develop and validate electronic sensors, actuators, control units, harnesses, wiring practices, or control systems and associated analog and digital signals to ensure the consistent operation of Cummins’ products in a variety of customer applications.
Product Performance & Controls Integration: This product focused position tailors’ electronic and electrical systems for Cummins products. People in these positions will translate product requirements into hardware and software technical requirements that control the operation of Cummins’ products in a variety of customer applications.

- Bachelor's: $3,900 - $5,000
- Master's: $6,000
- PhD: $7,300
- Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited U.S. college/university.
- Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred.
- Must be able to complete a minimum of 4-months to 6-months or a maximum of a 12-months commitment.
- Must be able to complete 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to learn from others on the job.
- Must be currently residing within the continental U.S.
