The Associate Financial Advisor-Insurance Operations Associate is dedicated to client insurance service and supporting the financial planning team as they focus on building their business and client relationships. The role also ensures the continuation of an efficient, effective, and organized office. This individual helps oversee the firm's insurance operations to achieve the highest level of productivity and profitability. Additional support in securities related operations could be added over time pending ability to pass licensing requirements.
Specific responsibilities may include yet are not limited to:
- Guide all advisor insurance cases through the application process by:
- Scheduling and collecting the client data needed for applications
- Prefilling, checking, and submitting all new applications, conversions, and changes to application input system
- Identifying and preparing case specific documents for completion with the application
- Monitor the underwriting process for all advisors, follow up on requirements, communicate with the client, and help expedite the process
- Schedule and monitor the completion of all medical exams
- Maintain the policy delivery requirement system:
- Check policies for accuracy
- Scan important policy documents
- Mail or prepare policies for delivery meetings
- Obtain PDAs, submit copies to GA, and keep copies for the client file
- Schedule activity (a task) in the CRM client record for the initial reconsideration date for future follow up
- Process insurance service requests (pre-screens, beneficiary changes, billing updates, etc.)
- Answer any additional questions the client may have regarding the insurance onboarding process
- Updating tasks and opportunities in our CRM ensuring proper tracking of each case
- Manage and handle emails with a timely response to clients and teammates
- Schedule reviews with existing clients
- Life and Health Licensed or obtaining within 3 months of employment
- Financial service industry experience preferred
- Associate Agent Contract required
- Additional licensing in securities will be considered
- Experience in administrative support or client service, preferably in financial services industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry software
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and ability to work expeditiously
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action as appropriate
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Has interest in learning
- Ability to embrace change, to be flexible, and work in a fast-paced environment
