Worker Designation – This role is an onsite role. You will be required to work at the PSA Campus - Facilities in Columbus, GA, during your set working schedule.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the methods, practices, and techniques of maintaining building and ground operations
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the equipment, tools, and materials used in building and grounds maintenance
• Ability to read and understand building mechanical and electrical system blueprints and technical documents
• Ability to keep detailed records of activities performed
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability with the company insurance carrier
• Possess DOT Health Card to drive a vehicle of 10,001 lbs or more
• Ability to operate a forklift

Education & Experience Required

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two to four years of job-specific experience to include carpentry, electrical, masonry, painting, plumbing

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Education & Experience Preferred

• Technical School

Travel

• Less than 10%
• Participates in monitoring performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility; performs standard repair/replacement of components, as appropriate, and minor maintenance tasks such as cleaning of heating and cooling fan coil units and adjustment of system controls
• Performs basic maintenance of plumbing systems, such as standard repair of leaking fixtures and/or performing nontechnical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems
• Performs basic carpentry maintenance tasks, including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and counter top replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation; paints interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate
• Responsible for general maintenance work requests; documents facilities maintenance requirements and maintains appropriate records of work performed
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Assembles, disassembles and modifies several different types of modular office systems furniture; assists with preparation for special events, such as meeting setups, assembling tens, and rearranging office furniture
• Performs other related duties as required

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $45,000 to $55,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
