Worker DesignationThis role is an onsite position. You will be required to work at the ASC location in Columbus, Ga during your set working schedule.

- Monitors entrance and exit of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises
- Warns persons of rule infractions or violations
- Answers alarms and investigates disturbances
- Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
- Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Operates detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
- Answers telephone to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed
- Refers any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences to supervisor
- Ability to assist with evacuations
- Ability to help lead employees, vendors, and guests to safety in emergency situations
- Ability to observe, report and protect Aflac employees and assets
- Performs other duties as required
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Successful completion of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) Certified Protection Officer (CPO) correspondence course within 24 months of entering role
- Successfully pass Federal Aviation Administration
- Background check and posses AOA aviation badge
- Successful completion of annual Physical Fitness program exam
- 1+ year(s) of job related experience - Security, Law Enforcement, or Military
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license and a good driving record and the ability to maintain insurability with company insurance carrier
- Good oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers, exchange information and understand and transmit instructions
- Demonstrated knowledge of public security practices and procedures, and other applicable safety laws and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork facilitation skills
- Successful completion of CPR/First Aid & AED certification every two years
- Successful completion of annual taser training including Use of Force Training and taser familiarization training
- Physical strength to lift up to 65 pounds

- Ability to process information quickly and accurately

- Emotional stability
- Ability to handle mentally demanding tasks and/or events
- An ability to assess, understand and mitigate threats to Aflac, employees, vendors, and guests
- Strong experience with intelligence analysis and risk assessments
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and adherence to all aspects of Aflac’s driving policy, including ability to be insurable by the company insurance carrier
The salary range for this job is $38,500 to $55,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation.
