, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. - Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific policies, access control procedures, and other security-related duties, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout galleries, offices, and exterior perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exhibit spaces, and public areas for unusual conditions, assist with way finding and queue management, and help protect artwork and property by observing and reporting concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, lost children or guests, and alarms, and coordinate with local responders as directed.
- Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support opening and closing routines such as checking doors, gates, and restricted areas.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
