Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Columbus, GA responsible for exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services. Reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager and will execute promotional activities within the assigned territory, while maintaining product, disease, and reimbursement knowledge and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.
Responsibilities- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales direction and product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet and comply with industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers, facilities, and governments.
- Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Required:
BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0. - Preferred:
Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience. - If not meeting work experience requirements, may be considered for the “Associate” role.
- Preferred:
Atypical antipsychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience. - Preferred:
Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management. - Preferred:
Reimbursement experience. - Preferred:
Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory (within 24 months). - Required:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving history. - Required:
Self-starter, goal- and results-driven with a track record of above-average results. - Required:
Fortitude to sell and compete with a hunter mentality. - Preferred:
Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory. - Required:
Ability to travel (including overnight). - Required:
Willingness to travel out-of-territory to HQs, training, and meetings. - Required:
Willingness to work hours outside of normal schedule as needed. - Required:
Must reside within territory geography.

- Clinical, patient-centric, and tactical with excellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, written).
- Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Dynamic, high-impact selling and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and make sound decisions.
- Adaptability to read situations quickly and adjust for obstacles.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, and computer proficient.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to travel locally, regionally, and occasionally overnight.
- Occasional lifting/moving of items up to 15 pounds.
- BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
