Store Manager Trainee – Dollar Tree Stores

Your role:
Manage store operations, recruit, train, and develop associates, drive sales and merchandising. Key responsibilities include opening/closing, ordering, payroll, employee evaluation, maintaining inventory and presentation standards, ensuring safety and store cash protection, and reporting.

• Protect store cash and assets.
• Manage sales forecasting, work scheduling, payroll, and productivity.
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and counsel associates.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Ensure completion of required training and foster a favorable training environment.
• Maintain merchandising presentation and store signage standards.
• Provide leadership and direction to associates using daily planner and index cards.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Process required reports, documents, and memos.
• Implement Store Support Center directives.
• Use available store‑level tools and technology proficiently.

• Prior retail and management experience.
• Background in dealing with hard lines/variety merchandise.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment.
