Essential FunctionAssistant Managers support the Store Manager in all areas and are responsible for all primary duties when the Store Manager is not present. Store Managers are responsible for hiring, developing and leading all store associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, overseeing store operations, and maintaining brand standards. They develop strategies and plans to achieve KPIs and financial targets through analysis, action planning, effective communication and accountability.
PrimaryDuties
- 30% Brand: Provides supervision and supports the direction & planning of associates’ daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience which maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty. Ensures all brand standards are met such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Acts as main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns. Analyzes store trends and can anticipate customer demands.
- 30% People: Engages, trains and develops teams to achieve positive results. Leverages internal hiring platforms and actively recruits to fill positions. Identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate, addresses them via coaching or counseling. Holds team accountable to company policies and expectations. Maintains positive associate relations, resolves concerns, and promotes inclusion.
- 30% Operations: Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Supports digital strategies such as Omni‑channel fulfillment. Manages inventory, payroll, scheduling, opening/closing procedures and follows company directives.
- 10% Safety / Loss Prevention: Ensures a safe store environment, enforces policies, protects company assets, analyzes reporting tools, and maintains HAZMAT compliance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
- At least 1+ year prior management experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
- Effective communicator with team and management
- Scheduling availability that meets business needs
- Cosmetology license desirable but not required

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements
Requires some physical exertion such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, reaching and lifting moderately heavy items. Work may require traveling to other stores and involves typical retail store hazards and safety precautions.
