We are looking for a dedicated Assistant General Manager to lead our restaurant team, delivering WOW service to guests while managing day‑to‑day operations.
Essential Responsibilities- Create a great energy in the restaurant and set the team up for success
- Empower the team through the “Yes I Can” mindset
- Communicate effectively and engage the team in regular huddles
- Coach and motivate Shift Leaders and crew members
- Recruit and develop top‑grade talent
- Demonstrate commitment to goals and inspire others to deliver excellent performance
- Recognize the team with U‑Rock and Fresh, Friendly and Fast tools
- Serve those you lead through behaviors, actions and decisions
- Serve as a role model to create memorable guest experiences
- Coach WOW service and create a welcoming work environment
- Take actions to solve and celebrate guest feedback
- Regularly observe the team and operations from the guest perspective and coach accordingly
- Support the RGM’s efforts in the community with local marketing and events
- Support company‑wide promotions, product launches and samplings
- Help the team execute local promotions
- Execute Krystal 9 operating systems
- Assist in developing sales forecasts and schedules to ensure quality, service and cleanliness standards are met
- Monitor business metrics: previous‑day numbers, schedules, cash shortages, and HACCP logs
- Review inventory efficiencies to create product (truck) orders
- Evaluate food costs and control inventory; conduct daily and weekly counts
- Implement and follow up on operational and financial action plans
- Analyze sales and labor results throughout and after each shift
- Maintain brand operating standards for product procedures, cleanliness and service expectations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, cleanliness, security and fire policies and regulations
- Identify problems and troubleshoot restaurant equipment at a high level
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent people leadership and guest service skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Effective communication with guests, team members and higher‑level restaurant leaders
- Resolve issues in compliance with Krystal standards
- Available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1–2 years of management experience
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently to move objects
- Carry products/boxes no more than 50 pounds
- Consistently handle product preparation
- Kneel and follow proper lifting procedures
- Lift for product preparation, stocking and inventory
