• Perform wellness examinations and preventive vaccinations.
• Administer medications, blood draws, and microchip insertion.
• Conduct diagnostic workups, including lab tests and imaging.
• Participate in outpatient surgeries and dental procedures as required.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and adhere to the appointment‑based model.

Offer wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, medications, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion.
No surgeries, emergencies, or sick visits
. Located inside Petco retail locations, staffed by trained personnel supporting operations and safe restraint of pets.

Relief shifts include preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures. Partners with the area medical director to review case comfort level. Facilities include digital patient records, surgical suite, Butterfly IQ+ handheld ultrasound, digital & dental X‑ray, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, and onsite labs. No overnights or emergency on‑call. Appointment‑based model ensures timely flow.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing.
• State‑specific licenses to perform shift functions, including blood draws & vaccine administration.
• DEA in good standing preferred for full‑service Vetco Total Care hospital shifts.
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates.
