Nurse Practitioner-Cardiac Surgery - Cardiovascular Surgery

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PA or APRN to join our Cardiovascular Surgery team. This role will provide comprehensive support to a cardiovascular surgeon, including both outpatient clinic visits and inpatient hospital consultations, with the potential to assist as First Assist in the Operating Room (OR).

• Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments in both clinic and hospital settings
• Perform hospital rounds and consultations in collaboration with the cardiovascular surgeon
• Assist in surgical procedures as First Assist (if credentialed and trained)
• Coordinate patient care plans and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-operative care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings

• Current licensure as a PA or APRN in GA
• Certification by NCCPA (for PAs) or national certification in a relevant APRN specialty, cardiology preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery preferred
• First Assist certification or willingness to obtain preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills

• Full-time, with flexibility for hospital coverage and potential OR time
• May include rotating weekends or on-call responsibilities
