Overview
Valley Healthcare System, Inc. is expanding and seeks a Nurse Practitioner – Late Nights & Saturday at our Columbus, GA location.
Position SummaryAs a primary health care provider, you will deliver comprehensive family practice services, including preventive care, acute and chronic disease management, and health promotion. The role involves collaboration with physicians under approved collaborative practice protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities- Obtain complete health and psychosocial assessments and document findings accurately.
- Implement treatment regimens for acute and chronically ill patients according to established protocols.
- Order, perform, and interpret routine laboratory tests and X‑ray reports.
- Provide assessment, education, and management of individuals/families in family planning and reproductive health.
- Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention plans.
- Co‑manage care for selected health complications in collaboration with the physician.
- Participate in VHcS programs through off‑site health screening and in‑service training.
- Perform pelvic, vaginal, and breast examinations, Pap smears, STI testing, and contraceptive counseling.
- Travel between VHcS locations to perform services if needed.
- Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a specialty area recognized by one of the following certifying agencies:
American Nurses Association, American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates & Practitioners. - Current RN license in the State of Georgia and Alabama.
- Minimum two years of related clinical nursing experience.
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and acute/chronic patient management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Integrity and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Experience in community health is a plus.
Performance is evaluated by the Chief Medical Officer in accordance with center policies, focusing on clinical competence, patient care, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
Compensation and Benefits- Hourly Salary: $61.38
- Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000.00 (Limited Time Offer)

- Exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous substances, and clinical equipment.
- Work under stress and maintain flexibility with irregular hours.
- High risk for occupational exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
