Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department, PRN T3, Nights
St. Francis‑Emory Healthcare (Scion Health) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department, PRN T3 shift (Nights).

Job Summary- Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director, perform nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department.
- Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with established patient care philosophy.
- Facilitate individualized, goal‑directed nursing care through the nursing process and primary nursing principles per departmental and hospital policies.
- Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units, and participate in all phases of education.
- Identify existing and potential problems and seek or implement appropriate solutions.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- May administer medication.
- Document patient care given.
- Provide nursing care through planning, organizing, and facilitating nursing functions for assigned patients.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Education
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
Licenses/Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
- Handle with Care Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Valid RN licensure in the state.
Experience
- Six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse in a direct patient‑care setting (unless entering the Nurse Residency Program).
