Position: Patient Care Representative Full Time

Overview

The Patient Care Representative has the responsibility of interacting with patients/visitors in an effort to ensure the best Hughston patient experience possible.

Position Responsibilities
  • Collect data about patient care problems and reports to the appropriate department directors, to include all Hughston locations.
  • Evaluate patient satisfaction and make suggestions for changes and improvements. Coordinates Patient Excellence Team meetings and training.
  • Coordinate in-service patient satisfaction/ customer service training to all Hughston employees.
  • Investigate and make direct suggestions and complaints to the appropriate hospital and company staff. Maintaining a record and follow-up in the occurrence portal.
  • Collaborate with hospital risk & quality management program personal to ensure better service.
  • Travel to trauma and satellite locations for introductions and evaluation of customer service/ patient satisfaction programs.
  • Serve as contact for patient maps, directions, and hotel recommendations.
  • Provide creature comforts, i.e., waiting area needs, blankets, magazines, patient education information.
  • Provide support to patients and families in need.
  • Proactive in resolving potential problems of patients and family members.
  • Always maintain patient and family confidentiality.
Experience
  • Prior administrative and customer service experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
  • Advanced education in a related field.
Special Qualifications
  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) may be required.
  • Must have the ability to work well with others and foster a collaborative work environment. High integrity, adaptability and character.
  • Show enthusiasm and a willingness to learn in an ever-changing dynamic fast paced healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in performance of daily duties. Demonstrates patience and self control.
  • Must exhibit organizational ability and ability to prioritize to ensure assigned projects are completed in a timely manner.
