The Georgia Department of Public Health is the lead agency entrusted by the people of Georgia to protect lives and promote healthy lifestyles in diverse communities statewide. Job Responsibilities- Receive monthly/quarterly/annual inventory reports and requisitions from the district’s 16‑county health departments.
- Develop packing slips for all medication deliveries prior to the deadline.
- Receive all inventory reports, returned packing slips and invoices, and maintain a tracking method for all medications.
- Serve as the 340B Compliance Officer for the district, including policy and procedure development, ongoing education and training for staff, 340B rules/guidance surveillance, and annual recertification on the HRSA OPAIS website.
- Work directly with District Billing to ensure cost savings and program compliance.
- Conduct self‑audits and external audits, 340B contract pharmacy management, monthly and annual reporting, and routine monitoring and tracking.
Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of registered nursing experience, completion of a PHN course within one year of hire, current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license, and CPR certification. A copy of college transcript is required.
Preferred QualificationsCompletion of a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and one (1) year of professional nursing experience.
Additional InformationAll West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency and may be called to participate in staff assignments. Regular wellness activities are encouraged, and physical activity breaks up to 30 minutes per day are authorized.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid.
