Responsible for the safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides material supply services for a variety of departments as requested.

• Transport patients safely via wheelchair or stretcher.

• Required Skills — Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Minimum Education — High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Certifications:
  • Transporter I
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Transporter II
  • Certified Medical Assistant Licensure Preferred
  • Current Georgia licensure as a Certified Nurse Aide Preferred
  • EMT
    -B Certificate of completion of course work Preferred
  • Pharmacy Tech Cert Preferred
  • Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in Lieu of CNA Licensure Preferred
  • EKG or ECG course completion certificate
  • One or more of the above certificates or licensure is REQUIRED
• Minimum Work Experience — Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
