Our client, a manufacturer of advanced turbine engine systems, is seeking a Program Manager responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex engineering and manufacturing programs. This role oversees cross-functional teams and ensures programs meet technical, schedule, and financial objectives while supporting customer requirements.
The Program Manager will lead new product development, sustainment, and R&D initiatives
, while also supporting operational growth and production scaling in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of development, sustainment, and R&D programs.
- Define program scope, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
- Track program performance using KPIs, earned value metrics, and financial reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and defense program requirements.
- Drive development programs from concept through prototyping, qualification, and production readiness.
- Support proposal development, cost estimates, and statement of work (SOW) creation.
- Align engineering milestones with program objectives and customer requirements.
- Support operational scaling and production ramp-up initiatives.
- Assist with facility expansion, capacity planning, and supplier coordination.
- Collaborate with finance, supply chain, and operations to support program execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience managing complex engineering or manufacturing programs.
- Strong understanding of aerospace product lifecycle (design, development, production, sustainment).
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and program scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with defense program structures and regulations such as FAR, DFARS, and ITAR.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- PMP certification or advanced degree.
- Experience supporting production ramp-up or facility startup environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
