The position of part‑time instructor of nursing is a non‑tenure track faculty position in the School of Nursing within the College of Education and Health Professions.
Responsibilities• Certification as a family nurse practitioner in Georgia is required.
• Teach in the FNP graduate program and mentor FNP students.
• Maintain clinical practice as an FNP on a part‑time basis.
• Contribute to scholarly activity in the field.
• Perform activities necessary to enhance the school, college and university mission.
• Understand technology as a tool for effective teaching.
- A Master’s degree in nursing from a family nurse practitioner program (FNP).
- A valid nursing & APRN license in Georgia (or in another state with an intent to obtain Georgia licensure).
- National certification as an FNP.
- Minimum of one year of practice as an FNP and current practice as an FNP.
- Previous teaching experience in a college or university setting is preferred.
- Evidence of successful teaching at the college level in both traditional and online environments is preferred.
