Neonatologist – Full-Time, Perm Placement

Cartersville, GA (Piedmont Cartersville Regional Medical Center)

Join Pediatrix Medical Group, a renowned leader in neonatal and pediatric care, in a prestigious full-time Neonatologist role at our newly established Level II NICU in Cartersville, Georgia. Located just 45 minutes north of Atlanta, Cartersville offers a vibrant community setting with excellent quality of life, making it an ideal place for professional and personal fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive neonatal care to infants in a Level II NICU environment.

Attend high-risk deliveries and perform C-section coverage as needed.

Manage a 12-bed newborn nursery, including well-baby care when pediatricians are unavailable.

Conduct daytime in-house rounding to monitor patient progress and plan treatments.

Participate in after-hours coverage through on-call duties from home.

Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and efforts to enhance patient care and safety.

Support neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and emergency responses as required.

Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.

Valid medical license in Georgia or eligible for licensure.

Demonstrated experience or training in neonatal care and resuscitation protocols.

Strong team-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
