Columbus Cardiology Associates is a leading cardiovascular practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and high-quality cardiovascular care throughout the greater Columbus, GA, and Phenix, AL areas. Our established team includes six highly skilled cardiologists and nine advanced practice providers. We offer a full spectrum of cardiac and vascular services, specializing in cardiac consultative evaluations, and care for conditions of the heart, arteries, and veins, along with extensive cardiac and vascular testing.

The Opportunity

We are excited to expand our interventional services within our thriving South Georgia communities and are seeking a patient-centered and specialized Interventional Cardiologist to join our team. This pivotal role will primarily operate within our local Columbus clinic and affiliated hospitals, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive interventional cardiology services, including a variety of coronary and structural procedures and interventions, within both clinic and hospital settings
  • Perform general cardiology services, including but not limited to:
    • Echocardiography (Echo) interpretations
    • Nuclear cardiology interpretations
    • Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
    • Cardiac consultations and follow-up care
  • Evaluate and manage conditions of the heart, arteries, and veins
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of six cardiologists and nine advanced practice providers to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities with other physicians and APP staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Adhere to all medical and ethical standards
Preferred Responsibilities (Based on experience and comfort level)
  • Perform peripheral vein interventions and procedures
Qualifications
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from a US Accredited program
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency program
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program
  • Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology Fellowship program
  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Current and unrestricted medical license in the State of Georgia (or eligible for licensure)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board Certification in Nuclear Cardiology
  • Board Certification in Echocardiography
  • Prior training and experience in peripheral interventions
