The Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) Assistant Supervisor works under the supervision of the CIIP Supervisor. The Assistant CIIP Supervisor is responsible for daily operations, safety, personnel management, administrative, operations which include but are not limited to providing administrative requirements for direct exchange services for designated organizational clothing and individual equipment items. Ensure coordination and completion of all task and deliverables under the project.

Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of task area. The work generally involves supply actions while providing professional customer support to the client.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing and shipping clothing or materials.
  • Receive Issue shipping instructions from LRC and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Confer with employees and customer to coordinate warehouse activities, such as issue, receiving, inventory and records control post within 72 hours.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses and equipment and ensure proper accountability and PMCS is conducted in accordance with required policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the Planning, develop and implement office, line, warehouse, safety and security programs and activities.
  • Administrative operations to include but not limited to providing direct exchange services for designated organizational clothing and individual equipment items.
  • Responsible for day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting client schedules.
  • Responsible for CIIP operations to include issue, alteration, exchange, repair, modification, depot support, and warehousing of Army authorized clothing allowances in accordance with AR 25-400-2, AR 32-4, AR 40-3, AAR 210-130, AR 700-84, AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-1, AR 735-5, AR 735-11-2l AR 725-50, CTA 50-900, SB 10-523, TM 10-227, TM
    -3, Central Clothing Distribution user Handbook, TRADOC Standard Operating Procedures, DLA direction, and other applicable regulatory guidance. CIIP tasks and requirements include but not limited to:
    Property Control and Records, IRM generated forms, clothing records, files storage, maintaining inventory stockage levels, receiving, inventories, issue, briefings, alterations, fitting uniforms, name plates, special measurement items, providing different issue phases, initial fit, refit, exchanges, and other CIIP tasks as required by appropriate governmental authority.
  • Works closely with the respective Manager to project CIIP workload, organizational needs and performance.
  • Leads and directs the work of personnel within the CIIP.
  • Has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
  • Responds to client requests and questions.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Material & Equipment Directly Used
  • General office equipment, computers, fax, printers, web and internet services, server platforms, and other electronic forms of management, collaboration, and data sharing.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas.
Working Environment
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
  • Work will typically be in a temperature‑controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
