Schedule:
Part time 20 hours per week | 3:30pm-7:30pm, 5 days a week | Varies Mon-Fri | 2 out of 3 weekends

Department: Chelsea Retirement Community | Dining Services, Kresge Rehab Center

As a Household Homemaker, you will brighten the lives of older adults by delivering exceptional customer service and creating meaningful connections. You’ll handle a variety of dining services, including household cooking, kitchen assistance, and related activities, all while fostering a warm, welcoming environment.

• Create an enjoyable dining experience, serving residents and their guests
• Assist with serving resident meals, snacks, and nourishments
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, dining, and service area
• Prepare food for household meals and snacks that are healthy and appetizing
• Plan and facilitate activities for residents involving food preparation or other activities specific to the kitchen

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Prior experience as a waiter/waitress or server in a restaurant, nursing home, or retirement community serving older adults is preferred
• Certification in Food Handling, preferred
• Experience in commercial food preparation and services, preferred
• Certification in Dining Assistant or CNA, preferred
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
