Lead Veterinary Assistant

Overview

Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a Lead Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This an excellent opportunity for skilled Veterinary Assistants looking to take the next step in their career and develop as a leader within a supportive environment!

• Provide leadership and daily support to the veterinary assistant team while remaining hands-on in-patient care
• Train, mentor, and guide veterinary assistants to support skill development and team performance
• Assist with team scheduling and day-to-day task delegation to optimize hospital workflow
• Support resolution of client concerns and assist with complaint management when needed
• Ensure hospital safety standards and medical protocols are consistently followed
• Provide inpatient and outpatient patient care, including exam room assistance
• Assist with surgical setup and surgical procedures

• At least 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in the following skills
  • Training and mentorship
  • Workflow management & effıciency
  • Client communication & conflict resolution
  • Core clinical skills including radiology support, surgical assisting, phlebotomy, SQ injections, lab sample collection, and inpatient care

Schedule: This is a flexible position, with availability needed Monday - Saturday with Saturday shifts rotating every other weekend.

Full-time benefits and compensation:

• Compensation: $17 - 19 per hour, for each hour worked
• Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience
