Overview
Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a Lead Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This an excellent opportunity for skilled Veterinary Assistants looking to take the next step in their career and develop as a leader within a supportive environment!
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and daily support to the veterinary assistant team while remaining hands-on in-patient care
- Train, mentor, and guide veterinary assistants to support skill development and team performance
- Assist with team scheduling and day-to-day task delegation to optimize hospital workflow
- Support resolution of client concerns and assist with complaint management when needed
- Ensure hospital safety standards and medical protocols are consistently followed
- Provide inpatient and outpatient patient care, including exam room assistance
- Assist with surgical setup and surgical procedures
- At least 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills
- Training and mentorship
- Workflow management & effıciency
- Client communication & conflict resolution
- Core clinical skills including radiology support, surgical assisting, phlebotomy, SQ injections, lab sample collection, and inpatient care
Schedule: This is a flexible position, with availability needed Monday - Saturday with Saturday shifts rotating every other weekend.
Full-time benefits and compensation:
- Compensation: $17 - 19 per hour, for each hour worked
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current experience
