Inpatient Therapist – Masters Position

This role is available at Pinewood Springs Mental Health & Wellness, a HCA Healthcare joint‑venture hospital serving adolescent and adult patients. The position involves providing supervised, evidence‑based inpatient mental health services to patients and their families.

Job Summary & Qualifications

The Mental Health Professional delivers exceptional, patient‑focused care by providing supervised mental health services, including assessments, psycho‑education, process group facilitation, treatment planning, and therapeutic counseling sessions:

  • Conduct one‑on‑one, group, and family psycho educational and process groups.
  • Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
  • Assess environment and patient’s safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
  • Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
  • Conduct post‑discharge follow‑up as indicated.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Master’s Degree – REQUIRED.
  • Provisional Licensure may be REQUIRED – LPC‑A / LMSW / ETC.

Pinewood Springs is a joint‑venture mental health and wellness hospital operated by HCA Healthcare’s Tristar Health and Maury Regional Medical Center. The hospital serves the mental health needs of both adolescent and adult patients.
