Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and driving patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with professionalism and clear communication.
You will build trust with staff, patients, and visitors through a caring, people-first approach, while operating with integrity and supporting your team to deliver reliable, innovative service.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes, checking doors, access points, and restricted areas for unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or requests for assistance from clinical teams.
- Operate access control measures such as visitor screening and badging support, monitoring alarms, and documenting security-related events according to post orders and reporting requirements.
- Carry, handle, and store assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with training, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies, using de-escalation techniques and notifying law enforcement and/or leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
