The Zone Team Leader (ZTL) provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of a specific zone on the store’s retail sales floor. The ZTL oversees a team passionate about merchandising and selling, ensuring an outstanding associate and customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities- Execute established procedures for the assigned store zone, including merchandising, power‑aisle compliance, GVC/Ollie’s Follies, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery.
- Maintain store standards, Ops Center compliance, seasonal transition planning, inventory processes, and company programs.
- Oversee the Door‑to‑Floor process to ensure merchandise is planned, received, and stocked properly.
- Supervise associates within the assigned zone and ensure daily tasks are performed productively.
- Maintain customer service standards that meet company expectations.
- Schedule and staff for effective unload/processing of merchandise to the sales floor.
- Communicate company directives and programs and ensure follow‑up items are completed accurately and timely.
- Perform all functions required to open and close the store when needed.
- Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of retail experience in a supervisory role within a mid‑size to large retail or service‑oriented business.
- Ability to work on site/in person evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, preserve confidentiality, and exercise accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks within strict time frames and deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes.
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; push and pull up to 35 pounds; stand for extended periods; bend and twist frequently; grip, reach, and pinch arms and hands frequently; squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally; maintain constant alertness and safe manner.
- Operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid state‑issued license.
